Restore Functional Therapy was founded to bridge the gap between traditional occupational therapy and advanced manual therapy techniques focused on fascial health and movement restoration.

We believe pain is rarely isolated—it is often the result of compensatory movement patterns, tissue restrictions, and unresolved injury adaptations.

Conveniently located in Beverly, Ma we serve clients throughout the North Shore

About Restore Functional Therapy

Jess Neffinger

I am a licensed Occupational Therapist specializing in myofascial release and functional movement restoration.

My clinical focus is helping individuals who have not found lasting relief through conventional treatments. I work closely with the body’s connective tissue system to improve mobility, reduce pain, and restore function.

My mission is to help people with new and long term pain restore their ability to function at the highest level possible.

As someone who has experienced chronic neck and back pain unexplained by traditional medical testing and treatment, I know what it’s like to feel like you might live with this forever. I found myofascial release during the process of trying to self-treat painful trigger points that were the source of muscle tension and pain. I began studying and training in myofascial release, trigger point management and nervous system regulation as a way to help myself and have found it to be the most effective treatment for so many people. I truly believe anyone can benefit from this work.

If pain is holding you back from doing any of the things you love, we can work together to start a process of healing and make a plan to restore function that is meaningful to you!

Outside the clinic, I love spending time with friends and family in and around the North Shore of Boston. I live in Beverly, MA with my husband, our two boys, and our dog, Pele. You’ll often find me playing sports with the kids, painting, or enjoying the ocean—whether at the beach or out on the water boating.

Jess is an Occupational Therapist with 12 years of experience treating patients as an OT in acute and short-term rehabilitation settings. Jess holds an undergraduate degree in Psychology, a Masters degree in Occupational Therapy and is trained in the John Barnes method of myofascial release.
